Week 2 - Maze through the streets

Postby Gail Allen » Sun Jul 15, 2018 11:50 pm

Our next destination in our exploration of the 7 New Wonders of the World is the remains Machu Picchu, an ancient civilization in the Andes Mountains of Peru. Its existence was a secret until it was discovered by archaeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911. There are many different theories as to what purpose the site was built for, but one thing is certain: it is impressive.

The city nearest to the ruins of Machu Picchu is the busy town of Cuzco. Interestingly enough, seven of the streets in Cuzco start with the word “seven” in their titles! This demonstrates how important the number seven was in the ancient Incan culture. Your first task while visiting Machu Picchu is to complete this maze through the streets of Cuzco so you can get up that mountain to see the ruins.
