Week 3 - Snakes on a Pyramid!

Postby Prof. Kendra Givens » Mon Jul 23, 2018 12:05 am

Welcome to our next stop, Chichen Itza!
This was one of the largest Maya cities and was significant within Mayan culture for several hundreds of years both politically, economically and religiously. The city center was dominated by a large step pyramid called El Castillo. This massive pyramid is approximately 80 feet high and one of the most well known ruins in Chichen Itza. When the sun hits the pyramid’s steps just right, it appears as if a snake makes its way down the steps in a spectacular slithering motion.

To experience slithering in all of its glory, you need to gain a length of at least 500 in this game:

Upload a screenshot of your final score to an image hosting site and mail a link to ravenclawevent @ gmail.com (no spaces) to get a piece of this week’s password for the Treasure Hunt, and, of course, earn yourself 10 beans (+5 beans if it is handed in before the 29th of July).
