Week 7 - Pipe Puzzle

Postby Gail Allen » Sun Aug 19, 2018 10:42 pm

Our last stop on our tour of the seven wonders of the modern world is the lost city of Petra in Jordan. The city is thought to have been established in the 4th Century B.C. as the center of the Nabataean kingdom. The city was well known as a trade route through the desert and was largely sustained by the Nabataean people's’ ability to harvest rainwater through their water conduit system and other ancient engineering innovations. Your first task is to solve the pipes puzzle below to keep the water flowing in this spectacular city.

To solve this puzzle, connect the faucet and drains of the same colour by rotating the pipes so the water can flow freely. All pipes must be used. (Note that there is one tile where the pipes cross - this functions as a bridge/tunnel for water coming both directions.)

Upload your solution to an image hosting site and mail a link to ravenclawevent @ gmail.com (no spaces) with the title "Week 7 - Pipe Puzzle" to get a piece of this week’s password for the Treasure Hunt, and, of course, earn yourself 10 beans (+5 beans if it is handed in before the 26th of August).
