RPotM: Kidnapped

Postby Leonie Hauri » Sun Apr 03, 2016 10:22 pm

((We're on a streak! Our general idea for the RoTM is that people are being kidnapped and taken to the Forbidden Forest. Feel free to roleplay as someone investigating the kidnappings or someone that has been kidnapped. Right now the plot can really go in any direction, so we'll see where it leads us!))

Leonie was a deep sleeper. When she slept, she slept, and didn't wake up until she was good and ready. She didn't dream much, but she made up for it during the day when she could daydream to her heart's content.

Perhaps that should've been what tipped her off. The dreams. She had been having strange dreams for the past week; dreams full of strange voices and dark, gloomy places. Nightmares more than dreams, really. She was always such a deep sleeper that she had never had a real nightmare, but lately the nightmares had plagued her every night.

Even still, Leonie was a deep sleeper. But she never would've expected to sleep through a kidnapping.

She wasn't sure if someone had taken her or if she had sleepwalked there or something else, but calling it a kidnapping was more dramatic by far. All she knew was that she had fallen asleep in her bed and woken up in a forest.

It was well into the morning by the time Leonie woke up from a particularly bad nightmare to find herself tied to a tree. She was rather confused, believing herself to be still dreaming. She still wasn't sure whether she was caught in another dream when she examined her bindings, and even as the hours passed she remained dubious. After all, why would someone randomly decide to tie her to a tree? She didn't seem to be guarded - at least she didn't hear or see any signs of sentient life.

She had been tied to a tree with rope, but she was sure it was somehow under a spell because no matter what she did it wouldn't budge. She had wondered if there was a counter-spell, but couldn't do wandless magic besides and she had no idea where her wand was. She placed it next to her bed ever night. Leonie was craven but not paranoid, and she didn't sleep wand in hand like one of the other students did. She had no idea whether her wand was still there, but if it was she wasn't likely to get it any time soon.

There was nothing about her surroundings that gave any hint as to where exactly she was. She heard the sound of running water, perhaps a stream, nearby and could glimpse a rocky clearing off to her right, but otherwise she was clueless. She tried looking at the stars, but had never paid enough attention in Astronomy to know how that would help her. She was completely lost.

Not to mention the whole tied-to-a-tree thing. Leonie couldn't move, and she was beginning to get uncomfortable. She was debating whether she should call out for help or not when she heard a noise - a rustling sound of sorts. Is someone there? Leonie tried to turn her head to the side to locate the source of the noise but it was no use. The rustling sound occurred again, and this time Leonie heard the crack of a twig snapping. She kept her mouth shut and her eyes open, but she saw nothing. It's someone all right, but good or bad?

((You can roleplay as that person Leonie heard but you don't have to; I can make it her kidnapper or some Muggle or something as well))
