One of the ways people like to spend their time at the park is by people watching. Tell us about the people you saw at the park in 100 words or more. Did you see anyone practicing a hobby/art form? Did you see anyone trying to master a new trick with their skateboards/bicycles?

Tell us about your experience with people watching below by 11:59 P.M. HOL time on April 30th.

After the picnic at the park, I took a walk where I saw many people painting. Most of the paintings were of the surrounding nature, but some people where painting scenes from all over the world. The most notable painting was of the Eiffel Tower in Paris; it was beautiful! There was also a person painting a chickadee. It looked so real, it looked as though the bird would jump out of the canvas. Nearby the painters, there was a group of children playing tag while their parents were setting up a barbecue. Behind them were a group of teenagers playing football/soccer. The park was full of people this afternoon.

The park was sure crowded today! I was feeling a little lazy after that good meal, so decided to take advantage of the shady tree I sat under and just get lost in the sights around me. One of the first things that caught my eye was a group of people performing music a little ways from where I was seated. They looked young, early 20's maybe, and I swear to Merlin that they looked as if they had ripped straight from a 1960 scrapbook. Not to label, but they decidedly looked 'of the era`, complete with vintage clothes and hairstyles. But the music they played was hauntingly beautiful, a folk song that touched your very soul. Nearby was a mime performing their own craft (silently of course). Mimes always amaze me because it defies the laws of physics that someone can hold that still. I still wonder if he wasn't a wizard that had cast a charm on himself! Hmmm.....

Probably the cutest thing I saw, though, was a little boy playing with a toy boat in the pond. Don't worry, his parents were nearby, so it was perfectly safe. He looked so happy, and his laugh was infectious. I couldn't help but smile as I watched him. All in all, it was a good day.

The first group of people I saw was people walking their dogs, which were really cute. It was all different kinds of breeds of dog. There were 10 people. Then I saw these two boys on their skateboards. They went to the playground, sat on their skateboards, and slid down the slide, which I thought was really dumb. Then I saw a group of teenage girls who were friends. They were taking selfies and texting on their phones. But there was one girl in the back that jumped on her skateboard and said, “Bye! See you later!” Then I saw this adorable little girl that was so cute so I couldn't resist. I got up and ran down and gave her a big hug. Then this teenage boy came up to me and said, “Do you want to be on my YouTube channel?” I said, “Ok. Sure.” First we talked for a little bit on the hill we were sitting on. Then we went skateboarding. Then, after we were really hot, we went out and got ourselves ice cream cones.

I'm always paying attention to people at the park, so this time was no different. While walking along, I noticed a young couple sitting next to the path with two canvas' balancing on their laps and paint in between. They had spread out a blanket and were hanging out there. It looked really peaceful to be sitting there painting the scenery.
As I turn away I have to jump to the side quickly as a lady pushing a stroller and two young children come by taking up the path. I smile and wave to the kids who just stare back at me as they're pushed along.
Continuing up the path, I hear yelling coming from an older woman who's standing off the path, addressing a young girl on a skateboard. Apparently skating isn't quite to this lady's liking, so I duck around the scene and cast a sympathetic look to the flustered-looking girl.
Finally coming to the end of the path, I notice a group of fitness trainers on the exercise equipment. One did three push-ups at once and I looked away before I thought of trying it myself.
The park had certainly been busy today, but it was interesting to watch everyone!

On my most recent park foray, I saw a lot of kids playing on a small playground. There was a slide, several attractions one could jump on, and a merry-go-round. It was nice to see families interacting in the neighborhood. There were also a good deal of folks who came to the park for their everyday bike ride, dog walk, or leisurely stroll. Since I was probably one of the stranger ones there, recording dance videos for my classes, I was able to see a lot of people walk by. There were a lot of cute dogs, and I love how many different groups of people bike ride through the park, from those biking for pleasure, either on their own or in a group, to those entirely decked out in biking attire that fly through bringing a nice wind to my face.

After playing the board game, I decided to take some rest and read the book I brought along with me. Though, I can't focus on my reading because my sister and her friends were being too loud while playing. I glanced to the other side and see a little familyㅡa dad, mom, and their sonㅡwere sitting on a bench while eating ice cream, I smiled to them. The family seems pretty happy. Across from them, there are two little girls sitting on the grass with their dolls. They are talking to each other while pretending as their dolls. They remind me of my childhood. I kept looking at the people near me, there are many people here today. Some are flying their kites, running around the park, reading like me, eating and many more. I decided to put my book in my bag and told my sister to call me when they are finished with their game, and take a walk around the park. I think I will need it more than read my book.
