You’ve decided to go on a boat ride across the lake to a small island in the middle of the lake with your sibling, your best friend, and the picnic basket. However, the boat you rented isn’t available so you need to move things across the lake in a 2 person kayak. You need to be in the kayak for each crossing, to paddle it across the lake. Your best friend and your sibling do not get along and will end up in an argument without you there to mediate. Your sibling is still hungry and can’t be left alone with the picnic basket because they will eat the dessert.

How can you get everyone and the picnic basket to the island, without a mishap? (Note: this is a logic puzzle)
