Appleby Arrows

Oh, Appleby Arrows, thy flight through azure skies,
A team that in Quidditch lore eternally lies.
With brooms swift as the winds, and hearts that soar,
In every match, a legend you explore.

In robes of pale blue, their broomsticks take flight,
Their prowess in the air, was a mesmerizing sight.
Each chaser weaves a tale with every score,
Their skill and grace, the crowd does adore.

Seeker, oh Seeker, with eyes keen and bright,
Chasing the Snitch, a radiant speck of gold light.
In your quest, the victory shall unfurl,
Capturing dreams in a whirlwind twirl.

The Beaters stand firm, a steadfast wall,
Guarding the players, they never stall.
Their unity, an unbreakable chain,
Against the opponents, they shall sustain.

Oh, Keeper, guardian of the goal's embrace,
With reflexes swift, no Quaffle shall face.
Your vigilance, a shield so pure,
Protecting the Arrows' honor, secure.

From the humble orchards where legends birth,
To the Quidditch pitch, they traverse the earth.
Appleby Arrows, in history enshrined,
In Quidditch's tapestry, an eternal bind.

You hear them coming
Ahhh
You hear the rush
It’s time for the others
To run the other way
No time to hide
Move aside
Let the real winners
Take centre stage
Oooooo

Buzz buzz wasps
No time to feel blue
Buzz buzz wasps
We know you’ll come through
Buzz buzz wasps
They can’t keep you down
Buzz buzz wasps
You’ll rise to the top
GO WASPS!

Look at their moves
Look at their style
You’ll never see a more perfect team
Watch how they play
Watch how they seek
They’re definitely the ones you can’t beat

Buzz buzz wasps
No time to feel blue
Buzz buzz wasps
We know you’ll come through
Buzz buzz wasps
They can’t keep you down
Buzz buzz wasps
You’ll rise to the top
GO WASPS!

Piercing the skies here they come!
Whipping out on their brooms, one by one!

A flash of silver, then a flash of pale blue
You'll never mistake those colours, will you?

They're too fast to spot, so don't close your eyes
The Appleby Arrows will provide a surprise!

A worthy formation, for they are the best
An arrow they will form, soaring East and then West!

Don't look away, no don't you blink
The Appleby Arrows will cause you to overthink!

Their arrow formation is a wondrous sight
For they will push through and put up a furious fight!

In the skies where magic roars,
Behold the Appleby Arrows soar!
Their brooms ablaze, swift and keen,
Masters of the Quidditch scene.

With skill, they dance in mid-air flight,
Chasing the Snitch, a thrilling sight.
Swift beaters guard, their aim precise,
Defending their team, strong as ice.

The chasers weave, the Quaffle flies,
Through hoops, it darts, a grand surprise.
Appleby's glory, pure and true,
Their victory, a golden hue.

In Quidditch's realm, they claim their place,
The Arrows' spirit, a boundless grace.
Cheer them on with fervent might,
For Appleby Arrows will rule this night!

Wimbourne Wasps
by Dibyarup James Potter

All hail the Wimbourne Wasps,
With golden broomsticks in our grasps,
In the bright high skies, we take our flight,
Our golden wings shining, against the sunlight.

We are the Wimbourne Wasps, we're the best,
We fly, we score, we triumph over the rest.
We're brave, we're bold,
The Wimbourne Wasps will never fold.

Our Beaters are strong,
Our Chasers are never wrong.
Our Keepers don't flinch,
Our Seeker will catch the Snitch.

We are the Wimbourne Wasps, we're the best,
We fly, we score, we triumph over the rest.
We're brave, we're bold,
The Wimbourne Wasps will never fold.

So beware, it's no small feat,
The Wimbourne Wasps are here!
We're ready to compete,
And show everyone what we hold dear.

We are the Wimbourne Wasps, we're the best,
We fly, we score, we triumph over the rest.
We're brave, we're bold,
The Wimbourne Wasps will never fold.

Appleby Arrows

With Arrows they aim to pierce through the leagues.
Swift in their movement, they reach for the peaks.
Quiffles and bats, snitches they catch
Chasers and beaters, winners and keepers.

Appleby, Appleby, Launch through the sky
Let our team beat them, let our team fly.

No other team can possibly grow
No other scheme can even go pro.
To take victory face on, to make everyone proud.
We need to be swift, We need to be loud.

The crowd will cheer, the crowd will support
This is ultimately our favourite sport.

Can you hear that buzz?
That's coming from us!
We're the Wimbourne Wasps,
Who have victory in our grasps!

Come buzz with us,
As we fly with pride
Up high in the sky
Our wings of victory spread wide

Our beaters bashing the Bludgers beyond bounds
Our keepers guarding the grounds
Our chasers charting the sky
Our seekers searching, so sly

Golden like a snitch,
We're soaring through the pitch,
We're only going up
towards the Quidditch Cup!

We bet you hear that buzz, a loud, proud cheer
For the Wimbourne Wasps, drawing near!
We impress with finesse
Feel the sweet sting of success
Nothing less from the best,
The Wimbourne Wasps!

“Vitai Lampada” is a poem written by Henry Newbolt in 1892 about the sport of cricket. It starts off with a schoolboy playing cricket not for the awards or trophies, but for the lessons of life taught by his Captain. The poem then goes on to describe the same cricket player, now a soldier. The lessons learned in cricket translate to the battlefield - those of courage, fairness, and duty. This poem is perhaps the most famous poem about cricket, and the last line (“Play up! play up! and play the game!) is known amongst many people, whether they are cricket players or not.

Here comes the mighty with the bows! Appleby Arrows!
With their bows tightly gripped, they are in for the show!
Looking at the sky, getting ready for the game, aiming high!
Arrows piercing through enemy lines! Win the game, Appley Arrows!

Arrows sharper than knives, shinier than silver!
Bow taken care of, flexible and without tear – everyone should fear!
Arrow released in the air, flying fast and high, diving low!
Nearing the enemy hoops, goals scored, and game won by Appleby Arrows!

In the heart of the pitch, where dreams take flight,
The Wimbourne Wasps, a glorious sight.
With wings of yellow and black, they soar,
A team like none, forever we adore.

In the face of the storm, they stand strong,
Bearing the emblem, where they belong.
Chasing victory with might and grace,
In every game, a thrilling chase.

Through ups and downs, in sun and rain,
The Wasps persist, a tenacious refrain.
In the hallowed stadium, voices unite,
Echoing cheers, igniting the night.

It's more than a match, it's a shared delight,
A symphony of fandom, pure and bright.
In every cheer, in every song,
The Wimbourne Wasps, forever strong.
