And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
“’Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door—
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;—
This it is and nothing more.”

Uncertain Rustling

I watched as the leaves
fluttered and flew
dancing on the oncoming breeze

Yet here I stood, outside
in the beautiful moonlight
and not a lick of wind
touched upon my skin

So I looked around
and up and down
my house, my yard, my gate
and yet the breeze, the wind,
only blew by those willow trees.

So I walked up towards it
placed my palm on it's bark
and the cold shiver
that ran through me as the breeze
gushed around me
made me certain

That this, was an Uncertain Rustling
