October 2020 Monthly Theme Song

Postby Gail Allen » Fri Oct 02, 2020 5:32 pm

At this time of year, leaves are at their most spectacular! Clad in all so many different colours of red, orange, brown and some even looking golden. I love leaves in autumn! (maybe you've noticed XD )
So I would love hearing your leafy songs!

You can post songs about leaves, or songs that you are reminded of or associate with leaves for whatever reason. I'd love to hear your songs and the reasons for them!

This is extremely sad, but the song very much comes to mind when thinking about leaves.

Sally's Song
The Nightmare Before Christmas (as sung by Fiona Apple)

"What will become of my dear friend? // Where will his actions lead us then?"

This song itself isn't particularly "Leafy" (although the video plays nicely into the theme), but when I think of leaves this time of year I think of them being blown around by the gusting of crisp autumnal winds, and with that in mind this song keeps popping into my head. Which is also part of why due to this thread it became the inspiration for my October signature quote! So I figured I'd share here.

A great movie, and I absolutely LOVE this version by Fiona having always wanted to choreograph a contemporary ballet number to it, especially if the right "Halloween" (or similar) themed performance ever pops up!
