Postby Amy Smith » Fri Nov 17, 2023 12:10 am

You and your team share a very deep bond with each other. You all grew up playing quidditch as long as you could remember. Your coach, a wise old wizard, had taught you the tricks of trade and had hones your skills until you became unbeatable.

One day, you and your team decided to create something that would show your love and appreciation for your fans. You spend days brainstorming and finally came up with an idea. You decided to create new outfits for your fans. Your outfits were to represent your team in a unique way and it would be the perfect outfit.

Task:
Create an outfit for your fans and in 50 words write about any special properties that it may have.

Alternatively, Describe the outfit that you created for your fans in 150 words and write about any special properties that it may have.

You can earn 10 beans and sapphires by completing this task. Additionally, you can earn 10 more beans and sapphires, if you complete all the week one tasks .The task is due on November 30th, 11:59 PM HoL Time .

I’ve created 5 items of clothing that can be mixed & matched for not only spectating a quidditch match but also showing support to the wasps in and around HOL whether you’re in your common room or down the halls.

1) A varsity jacket with two broomsticks in the shape of an X, a wasp on top of it and the team name printed on bold on the back, with the team name also embroidered on the front right side. Versatile that even the players would run to get one!

2) A large bronze scarf with wasps embroidered at the ends that can be used as a belt, a bandana, a head scarf/hijab, a cape, a neck scarf or even a banner!

3) A sweatshirt series - you can have the following embroidered either in the middle front, the middle back or the front right:
- a wasp insignia
- the name - wimbourne wasps
- a cute slogan - ‘I’m buzzing with support for the wasps’
They can be combined or mixed and matched to cater to preferences

4 + 5) A shirt and a dress, bronze in colour, covered fully with wasps, a subtle but loud show of support!

Fans love to feel like they are part of the team and so the fan made outfits will be in the same colours.

The outfits will consist of a bright sky blue shirt with white and silver scarf. Added as a cloak or robe to wear on top it would consist of sky blue colour with intricate silver embroidery. The team badge or Logo also added as an intricate silver white and blue embraided badge. Entire outfit charmed so the cheerer remains dry during rainy days cheering.

White log pants with black or silver calve high boots will be available. Why not wear an entire outfit to support the team. I looks classy, it looks good, it keeps warm during those cold matches on the podiums and stands while watching and cheering on.

Naturally, the outfit is in the same pale blue shade as the team's colours are. Silver accentuates any details that are woven into the fabric. There's a silver arrow on the left side of the breast and Quidditch balls on the back. They're enchanted to move so you can often see the arrow chasing the balls around.

Trousers, shoes, capes, and hats are similarly designed and enchanted. If you buy the whole outfit and wear it, you'll get an enchanted silver bow to go with your look. Fans are encouraged to pluck the string back and when that happens, upon release, a shimmery silver arrow is shot from the bow.

It disappears as soon as it hits the boundaries of the pitch play area and since it's more of a spirit arrow, it doesn't hurt anyone should it be aimed at opponents or their fans. No need to repeat the incident that banned the use of real arrows.

Since the Appleby Arrows' hometown happens to be Appleby-in-Westmorland, I thought it was appropriate to incorporate their place of origin with new robes to honor it! The flag of Appleby-in-Westmorlan is a medium blue with a golden apple tree in the middle.

Our new outfits, as opposed to the usual pale-blue robes we usually don, will be the same medium blue that the flag's background is. On the back, a gilded apple tree will spread along from top to bottom. Lining the robes, the golden colour of the apple tree is represented, and will flutter beautifully as the players fly on their brooms. A mixture of bright, sparkling gold and deep blue will be fluttering all over the quidditch pitch!

The new outfit must also contain a few magical properties, (within the rules of quidditch of course) as these robes will dry when wet, and immediately remove any grass or dirt stains that occur, within seconds. Our robes will be the cleanest and most professional looking after each and every game, no matter the outcome! Appleby Arrows always fly with pristine style!

Presenting the Wimbourne Wasps StingSync Attire. The fabric is enchanted with a Temperature Modulation Charm that keeps the body temperature of the wearer optimal and is therefore ideal for any season.

Plus, the entire outfit is enchanted such that it glows every time the Wimbourne Wasps score a goal, catch the snitch or win a match.

Imagine a stadium full of Wimbourne Wasps fans wearing this outfit, and them glowing every time we score. That will be a sight to see indeed.

A pale blue long sleeve top, with two silver arrows crossed on the front of the shirt. Paired with pale blue trousers, with two silver arrows crossed on the back right pocket. Additionally, a pale blue track jacket, with two silver arrows crossed on the back, and ‘Appleby Arrows’ in arched text above this image.

Accessories include silver lace-up calf boots with laces shaped like arrows, a pale blue scarf with a pattern of small silver arrows, a pale blue cap with two silver arrows crossed on the front, silver-tinted sunglasses with thin arrow-shaped frames, a delicate silver bracelet with small arrow charms, a pale blue backpack with two silver arrows crossed on the front and a pattern of silver arrows on the interior, a thick silver belt shaped like an arrow, a pale blue thigh wand holster with a silver arrow down the length, and silver fingerless gloves.

Other available items in the outfit include silver and pale blue false nails with small arrow designs on two accent nails, and temporary tattoos of two silver arrows crossed.

Being the Wimbourne Wasps, our colours are black and yellow. These colours are reflected in the outfit for the fans. For the top, there is an option for a sweater or a short-sleeved shirt, both with black and yellow stripes. The shirt would have a cooling effect charmed into it to help cool down the fans on hot days, and the sweater would have a heating effect for the fans in the cold winter months. The bottoms are up to the individual fan; the only caveat is that the pants must be black to match the outfit. The fans will be outfitted with a yellow toque (my Canadian slang is showing!), also charmed to provide either heating or cooling depending on the weather. A black and yellow striped scarf will also be provided to the fans. This scarf, though not charmed to provide heating or cooling, has another special property. When the Wasps score points, the scarf is charmed to buzz like a wasp and flutter its ends like wings.

For the supporters of the Wimbourne Wasps we present the fan-inspired ensemble, seamlessly blending sophistication with magical utility.

The well known hues of yellow and black are intricately woven into a black tailored jersey, with subtle yet captivating wasp motifs rendered in enchanted threads that evoke the delicate flutter of wings.

A useful detail of this outfit lies in its yellow scarf. Enhanced with a concealed extension charm, it adapts dynamically to weather nuances—providing warmth during colder matches and effortlessly retracting in warmer conditions.

The black pants and boots, imbued with agility-enhancing charms, hold a friction-reduction spell to facilitate movements within the spectator stands.

The next thing we have is an either black or yellow enchanted hat, crowned with a miniature Snitch in flight. This accessory not only elevates aesthetics but also functions as a discreet scorekeeper, with its wings quickening with each triumphant Wasps goal. Enhanced further by an ambient charm, the hat resonates with the collective cheers of fans, transforming the act of spectating into an immersive experience.
