It’s the first of April. Easter was just the day before and you’ve been dodging pranks and tricks from both students and Peeves all day. It's been Spring for a little over a week and despite everything, it all still feels super sleepy. Like the school itself is still hibernating like a big ol’ bear.
You weave and dodge a few more pranks as you make your way to the peace and quiet of the library where you know one of your best friends is going to be as much as possible on this chaotic Monday.
You find them and plop down in the seat across from them. They don’t even look up from their work when they ask, “What’s got you in such a mood today?”
“It's so sleepy still.”
They look up at you confused, “What?”
“You know? Sleepy. Like the school is quiet.”
That, understandably, gets you the most confused look and in the best comedic timing ever, there’s a sudden explosion outside in the hallway that’s muffled by the shut library doors. You shrug and your friend just sighs because they know once your mind is set on something like this, it must be fixed and they’re going to be volun-told to help you do something about it.
“Alright boss, what’re going to do to fix the sleepy castle?”
You grin widely, “We’re gonna do the Ultimate Spring Awakening, that’s what!”
(Your friend takes a deep breath and they remind themself under their breath that they love you no matter what harebrained schemes you come up with.)
