Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
“Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,” I said, “art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore—
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”
Task:
Share a piece of Art with us! This could depict imagery from The Raven, or any other piece of Poe’s other writing. Participants may use mediums such as drawing, painting, or digital graphic works for their depictions, etc. Remember to keep embedded images to 600x600px when not linking elsewhere.
Alternatively you may contribute an original Poem in 75 words or more titled “Beguiling” or Reflect on the concept of Loss Aversion with the same word count minimum. For better or worse, when something is gone, it’s gone, and this could be forever. Have you ever gone out of your way to avoid losing something important to you? Or even to avoid losing something you believe you’d be better off without? Perhaps you have witness this in others, or have thoughts on the topic in general.
This task is worth 15 beans, with an additional 15 bonus beans for completing all Week Two tasks by end of activity. Deadline is 11:59pm (HOL time) on Halloween, Monday October 31st.
